Praying for our Leaders at EBF

This post is initiated to form a circle of prayer warriors at EBF (East Bay Fellowship Church, Danville).

For this new year, 2012, we are praying for the leadership at East Bay Fellowship, primarily, Pastor Cliff and Mari Hanes.

We know that Senior Pastors have to deal with many issues.  In this particular blog, we are praying for 2 out of the 10 "secrets issues" many senior pastors have to deal with.

1.  Leading from this position is overwhelming at times.
We know that Christ is ultimately in-charged, but we also know it often seems everyone looks to the Senior Pastors to have all the answers

Prayer : May God lead and guide them when they feel overwhelmed, and May they have God's clarity that they need not have all the answers, for it is all in God's Hands.
2.  People tell Senior Pastors all kinds of things about what is happening in their lives, or in the lives of others...  many they would sometimes rather not know... and sometimes the weight of others problems they carry are enormous.

Prayer :  May God give our Senior Pastor discernment on issues revealed to them for prayers.  May they be released of false burden bearing.
